Responsibilities

While supporting the goals and objectives of the hospital and upholding the ethics of the profession of pharmacy, the Manager Clinical Pharmacy facilitates the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. This position serves as a professional practice leader, educator, and mentor and has an advanced practice role functioning as a clinical specialist both within the pharmacy and within interdisciplinary teams. The position will report to the Director of Pharmacy. This position will play a key role in managing operations, logistics, finance, safety, and risk management for the pharmacy department.


Qualifications

Strongly Preferred:

  • At least 3 years of acute care hospital pharmacy management experience 
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited Pharmacy Residency program preferred
  • ASHP Specialty Board Certification preferred

Required:

  • 3 years clinical practice experience in a setting of similar size and complexity and/or completion of a pharmacy residency
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a Master's Degree in Pharmacy (MS).

Licensure:

  • Registered Pharmacist license in state of CA. Oversight for an acute care facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice.
