Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregon's scenic Douglas County. The community is nestled in a lush forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua. Responsibilities
As a Chaplain you are responsible for utilizing appropriate pastoral ministry approaches to support patients, residents and family members during times of illness, injury or grief.
Essential Duties:
- Provides spiritual/religious resources appropriate to the care of patients, families and staff.
- Triages and manages crisis in the practice of spiritual care.
- Facilitates the logical reflection in the practice of spiritual care.
- Formulates and utilizes spiritual assessments in order to contribute to plans of care.
- Understands and utilizes the problem solving process for patient and resident caseload.
- Maintains current documentation on patient and resident caseload and record keeping responsibilities.
- Manages and submits weekly reports of assisting patients, family, clergy and staff with spiritual care needs.

Qualifications
License/Certifications:
- Ordained Christian Minister preferred
- Certification in NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains) or ACPE (Association for Clinical Pastoral Education) preferred
Experience:
- 1 year experience as a healthcare chaplain in a hospital and/or long term care facility preferred
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Theology, Behavioral Science, Ministry or related field
- Masters degree preferred
- Evidence of ongoing education following graduation preferred
