The Medical / Surgical / Trauma ICU DEPARTMENT at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. We are committed to the highest level of patient satisfaction. Serving the critical care adult population each "dedicated" unit consists of 8-beds and offers an exciting challenging opportunity for nurses to care for the very highest acuity patients in a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse to patient ratio. All units report to one Nurse Manager; nurses are hired specifically for each unit yet have an opportunity to cross train.
Position Summary:
- Assess patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care.Â
- Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.Â
- Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.Â
- Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization.
- It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.Â
- The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Â
- AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- One year recent acute care experience.
