Overview

Work in the heart of #humankindess for CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake, Carrington, Lisbon, Valley City and Oakes. As our HR Coordinator, you will provide a variety of Human Resources related functions including onboarding of new staff, non-employees and students. 

To thrive in this role, you'll be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. You take initiative for training needs and problem solving, and your excellent verbal and written communication skills will be showcased through your work with all levels of staff,  including speaking up to groups up to 20. You will organize and plan a variety of special projects or tasks, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and have knowledge of some Human Resources related laws.

This position offers work flexibility of four days per week, your preference, and occasional travel to facility locations in Lisbon, Oakes, Carrington and Devils Lake on occasion. The position will sit at CHI St. Alexius Health Valley City or CHI Lisbon Health.

As the HR Coordinator, you will demonstrate flexibility that is able to meet the needs of the departments and employees. You understand and appreciate that people are our most valuable asset that is the primary driver of our business success. You'll train and orientate others on the use of organization computer programs.  and organization of a variety of special projects or tasks. Knowledge of Human Resources related laws.

Responsibilities
  • Culture –Assists the HR leader with integrating culture standards consistent with the °ÄÃÅÁùºÐ±¦µä’s mission, vision and values into business unit/facility/market/division practices and processes to ensure all employees experience and engage in supporting the desired work culture.
  • Service Excellence – provides a high level of customer service by ensuring needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Supports HR team in educating team members and leaders regarding human resource policies, this includes locating enterprise and divisional policies.
  • Supports onboarding process for new team members, this includes facilitating and monitoring candidate experience to ensure alignment with culture and efficiency of activities.
  • Coordinates day-to-day HR administrative tasks to ensure compliance and accuracy of data being entered into HR systems, this also records management.
  • Assists HR team in identifying and implementing HR best practices to align, partner and collaborate with leadership to ensure high standards of service.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks and resolves human capital matters.  Remains proactive in compliance with Federal and State laws, such as EEO, Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment.  Educates leaders and employees on Labor Relations legislation and serves as a resource for maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Assists with culture assessments, turnover, retention, performance, new hire survey’s, learning and development activities.
  • Serves as a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions team members and leaders might have.
  • Other duties as assigned by leader and organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associates Degree with one year relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED and three years relevant experience. 
  • Proficient with Google Suite, strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrates exceptional customer service skills. 
  • Knowledge of terminology and competencies demonstrated in an HR environment.
