Responsibilities

An EEG Tech II is responsible for performing routine and advanced electroencephalograms (EEG) and other neurodiagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis of neurological conditions. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating and maintaining EEG equipment, ensuring accurate data collection, and monitoring patient safety throughout the test. The EEG Tech II may also assist in long-term monitoring, video EEG, and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring. They collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, provide patient education, and maintain thorough records in compliance with hospital policies and standards. Strong technical skills and patient care expertise are essential for this position.

  • Must be able to perform basic neurology procedures; EEG
  • Critical thinking skills are evident in providing patient care as demonstrated through direct observation and feedback. Assesses critical care patients and monitors status. Documentation is completed appropriately.
  • Assists with Cardiology procedures (EKG, Stress Testing, Muse Editing, etc.) as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • American Heart Association-issued BLS card
  • ABRET

±Ê°ù±ð´Ú±ð°ù°ù±ð»å:Ìý

  • Minimum of 3 years experience performing EEG's
  • 3 years experience performing pediatric EEGs
  • 3 years experience performing ambulatory EEGs
  • Skilled in EKGs and Stress Tests
